Valentine’s Date Ideas

Some may say that Valentine’s Day is overrated and that it’s a holiday created by businessmen to profit. Still, isn’t it nice to spend the day making the love of your life feel special, holiday or not? Here are some ideas to try:

Flip a coin
Throw plans out the window and hit the town with nothing but your wallets and a quarter. Flip a coin to make every decision—turn left or right, step into a bar or keep walking, eat at a pub or a nice restaurant, drink wine or beer, catch a late movie or go back home—and see what happens. There’s something freeing about leaving it all to chance. After all, that’s probably how you met in the first place. Source: RealSimple

Stay in the mountains
For those looking for a change of scenery and an escape from the busy city, there is nothing better than a quiet, romantic weekend in the mountains. There are plenty of fun activities like skiing that will keep you active. You can have fun making a snowman or engaging in a snowball fight, and, of course, there is plenty of privacy and great room service waiting for you back at your room. Source: LifeHack

Recreate your first date ever
Even if your first date took place at a trashy dive bar or a bad movie, your partner will be touched that you remembered. Reminisce about being young and in love, and be grateful you got through the inevitably awkward first phase of dating. Source: Refinery29

Make a vision board
Always wanted to go to Paris or buy a bigger home? Create a “vision board” together and plan your future goals, hopes, and dreams. “Spend two hours making a collage of pictures or magazine tear-outs that reflect precious memories and wishes you have as a couple for the future,” says New Jersey-based psychologist Sam Von Reiche, Psy.D. “Post pictures of your future dream house, your honeymoon—anything that reminds you how truly grateful you are for each other or inspires you about your futures together. Last but definitely not the least; a hot tub date is something you can do every day at home. Make it more special by decorating the hot tub with candle lights. You can also add some aromatherapy scents to heighten the mood.

If you don’t have a hot tub yet, it would be a wonderful gift for Valentine’s Day. Call us!
