4 Spa Room Must-Haves

Get inspiration from your favorite local spa when you design a room for your indoor hot tub. Here are some elements that you’ll find relaxing:

Place beverages near you
Before getting into the tub, make sure to pour a tall glass of cool water and set it nearby. For an additional refresher, consider bringing in a bowl of ice and a washcloth for a cold compress to the forehead or neck.  Source: Houzz

Set the mood through lights
Unless you’re pyrophobic, nothing is more zen than candles. They smell good, give off gentle light, and are calming as heck. That’s why spas put them, well, everywhere — and why you should, too. Instead of scattering a few tealights and calling it a day, opt for something more creative (and definitely more eye-catching), like floating candle centerpieces.

To make them, grab a pack of pint-sized mason jars and fill each an inch high with marbles. Next, choose a flower to fill the rest of the jar. (Gardenias and roses are two of the most fragrant types.) Lastly, fill the jars with water and rest a tealight candle on top. Source: Thrillist

Have privacy
Perhaps the most important part of the home spa experience is being sure you have some uninterrupted time for just you.

If you have to hop out of the tub to circumvent a catastrophe with your toddler or answer a string of calls, you may end up feeling even more tense! Make arrangements for some uninterrupted solitude, let the phone go to voice mail, and prepare to indulge.

Listen to good music
If you can arrange to have music in your bathroom, you’ll be glad you did. The right soothing melodies can help melt away the stress and make you feel more removed from reality.

If you live with others, the music can drown out household sounds that may remind you of everything else going on. This would take your attention away from the here and now of your home spa experience. Source: VeryWellMind
